What are facial aesthetics?
Procedures for facial aesthetics might be non-surgical or surgical. However, if you are looking for permanent and long-lasting results, then cosmetic surgery is the way to go.
Facelift
A rhytidectomy, sometimes known as a facelift, is a cosmetic procedure used to reduce facial and neck indications of aging. It does this by tightening the muscles in the face and eliminating fat deposits and extra skin. The results of facelift procedures are unique to every person, as everyone has different facial features and bone structure.
There are numerous kinds of facelift operations accessible. These may include a traditional facelift, a deep plane facelift, a mid-facelift, a mini-facelift, etc. Facelifts are versatile cosmetic surgical procedures. They are most suitable for people in good physical health, non-smokers, and those free of significant comorbid conditions (diabetes, hypertension).
The recovery period of a facelift may last approximately 3–6 months. The swelling and bruising improve gradually during this period. The type of procedure and the patient’s general state of health determine how quickly the patient recovers.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, also referred to as a “nose job,” is a procedure that alters the size and form of the nose. The procedure aims to achieve a more visually pleasing outcome. It is a multifaceted surgical treatment that brings about both aesthetic and functional improvement.
Individuals who may benefit from rhinoplasty include:
- people with a DNS (deviated nasal septum)
- Individuals with birth defects of the nose
- Individuals with traumatic injuries (broken noses),
- Those who want a cosmetic change for a better aesthetic
Prospective patients need to be in good health, non-smokers, and have realistic expectations of the outcome. One of the most popular surgical procedures carried out globally is rhinoplasty. Everybody’s recuperation process is different. The majority of the swelling takes two to four weeks to go down. Up to a year may pass before the procedure’s full effects become apparent.
Eyebrow lift
Natural aging has a profound effect on the forehead and eyebrows. These changes appear in the form of frown lines (both horizontal and vertical), wrinkles, and drooping. The facial aesthetic concept of a brow lift is to bring about a youthful change by repositioning the forehead and smoothing wrinkles. The procedure is also known as a browplasty.
There are various types of brow lifts, like a classic lift, an endoscopic lift, or a combination of the two. A person’s forehead and brows are important for facial expression. Aging changes in this area leave many people looking perpetually sad or angry. An eyebrow lift is a facial aesthetic treatment that aims for a more cheerful and approachable appearance.
Like any other cosmetic surgery, a good overall health status and realistic expectations will lead to better outcomes. The initial postoperative swelling improves in two weeks. It could take a few weeks to get completely resolved.
Eyelid Surgery
Another name for eyelid surgery is blepharoplasty. Its goal is to eliminate deposits of fat and extra skin from the upper and lower eyelids. It strengthens the muscles of the eye to bring about a youthful and aesthetic change. Eyelid surgery is a common facial aesthetic treatment in Turkey. It makes the lids look better and work better.
Surgery on the lids can be divided into two categories. An upper eyelid surgery improves drooping and laxity and lifts the upper lid. While puffiness and bags behind the eyes are addressed with a lower blepharoplasty, both forms of eyelid surgery can be completed on the same patient in a single session.
Some mild discomfort and swelling postoperatively are natural. These get better in the first week following the procedure. Most patients fully recover in a few months by strictly following the recovery protocols.

Prominent Ear
A prominent ear simply means an individual’s ears are sticking out more than usual. What is an aesthetic facial appearance? Each person’s response to this question is different. Some may consider prominent ears an aesthetic hurdle, while others may not. It is advisable to wait until at least 8 years of age to make an informed choice about the surgical outcome.
A prominent ear correction is also known as an otoplasty. It involves pinning the ears back toward the head. The surgery requires general anesthesia for children. For adults, local anesthetic cover is sufficient.
On the 7th or 10th postoperative day, the stitches are removed from the back of the ear. An otoplasty has a success rate of almost 95%. There may be some swelling and discomfort during the initial postoperative period. Most patients resume all normal physical activities after 6 weeks.
Neck Lift
A lower rhytidectomy or a neck lift alleviates the signs of aging in the lower jaw and neck area. The surgery improves the appearance of jowls and excises excess fat deposits (under the chin) and loose skin over the neck. It also tightens and strengthens the muscles of the neck for smoother contours.
A neck lift can be done alone or in combination with other cosmetic surgery treatments, such as brow lifts. Individuals who may get the maximum benefit from a neck lift are usually in good health. They do not smoke and have a positive outlook on the potential outcome.
Most patients can go back to work two weeks after the surgery. The swelling may not completely go down after surgery for a few weeks or months.
Bichectomy
A bichectomy is also known as a buccal fat removal. It is a popular facial aesthetic procedure in Istanbul. The fat pads located between the cheeks and lower jaw are referred to as buccal fat. There is more volume and roundness to the cheeks thanks to the buccal fat. Eliminating the buccal fat pads improves the face contours and draws attention to the cheekbones.
Individuals who want to get higher cheekbones and reduce the chubby appearance of their cheeks may benefit from a bichectomy. The recovery period may last from 3 weeks to several months. For an optimum result, it is advisable to strictly follow all the instructions of the surgical team.
